Roadtrip to Taj Mahal | Agra, India ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ

there it is we’re on a little road trip in India my
first road trip this is Bhavya…Hey! and so I made a local friend and I told
her I really wanted to go to the Taj Mahal which is something that you have
to do when you come to India and I was so we’re taking a little road trip today
and we are on our way to Agra India so now we just arrived in Agra which is
the city where the Taj Mahal is I have heard a lot about Agra and I’ve heard
that it’s a not the best place to spend your time so most tourists they come
here just to see Taj Mahal and not really to see the city around it but I
want to show you a little bit of it as we drive yeah so do you know how long this takes to
get up to the front I think it’s a kilometer so I can see the Taj Mahal
from here it’s about one kilometer away and you have to take a rickshaw either a
bicycle like this it’s a rickshaw or an auto rickshaw or bus or a bus or a taxi
but it looks like it’s gonna be quick pretty quick right maybe 10 minutes or
so we guessing look you can barely see so we finally made it in finally at the
Taj Mahal within this rapidly what is this the
front gate so weird to finally be here one of the most recognizable places in
the whole world and then we standing right in front of it alright so he just entered the main gate
the first gate on the way in looks like there are fats there are bets
appear in pigeons and then the first amazing view of taj
mahal look at this the way that it’s perfectly framed okay here we are this is the
quintessential picture of the Taj Mahal look we’re here in the middle of the day
look how many people you have to get through to get that all right so the Taj
Mahal is made almost completely out of marble and over time it’s kind of become
a little yellowed because of pollution in the air and everything and so now if
you’re coming in 2019 I believe maybe even next year there might be a little
bit of scaffolding on there because they’re actually cleaning it up and
restoring it to the brilliant white that it once was so it might ruin your
selfies so you get a free pair of shoes with
your ticket so you have to wear these sexy shoes when you go in to the top are
you ready so Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in 1630 or it started in 1631 it
took around 20 years to build and he built it for his wife or at least his
lover and and then he killed every arms built
this which was about supposedly about 20,000 people people got their hands or
arms whatever so that they could not build this masterpiece again that was
myth I don’t know all right so now we’re actually gonna go
into the Taj Mahal and with 2ms of his wife or lover and I’ve actually never
seen photos or anything from inside Taj Mahal so I’m guessing that I’m not gonna
be able to take any photos or any video so now we’re behind the Taj Mahal and
there’s this river here I think she said it’s the Yamuna and probably have that
wrong but we just came out of the Taj Mahal here and it really took about five
minutes we all knew in there for five minutes
and they kind of Corral you they make you go through it really quickly and all
it is is a small room with their two tombs it’s all made out of marble really
intricate designs so it’s very cool to see so you’ll always hear that people come
to the Taj Mahal very early in the morning but if you’re coming from Delhi
you’re going to have to leave that like two three in the morning to get here if
you want to beat the crowds at like five or six in the morning the other the
other reason that people come very early is because it’s usually very very hot
especially with the white marble building and when you’re around the main
part of the Taj it is so hot because the Sun is just bouncing off the walls we
didn’t want to get up that early though so we’re here in the middle of the day
we have the biggest crowd it’s very hot and that’s just something you have to
deal with but it’s still worth it at this time so come whenever you want
not during summer time true okay so for foreign visitors it costs currently it
costs twelve hundred and fifty rupees about 1516 dollars for us to get in here
and you get a map you get these removable shoes so you can go inside
potage and you get a bottle of water for that so it’s not that bad and this is it so now we’re gonna get back on the road
and hopefully get a different view a different perspective of taj mahal
because you can actually go all over agra and get different views with less
crowds we’re going this way you’re awesome for making it all the way

the world and I’m sharing the whole thing with you

  1. Hey Alex! Iโ€™ll be going to India next month. Do you feel safe using your phone/camera to take pictures and videos over there? Or do you feel like some people would want to steal it from you? Thanks!

  3. Shah Jahan had 4 wives at first.Among them Mumtaz 's actual name is Arjumand Banu Begam engaged to Shah Jahan at the age of 14-15 and married after 5 yrs. Both of them in 19 yrs of married life they had 14 children,7 survived and Mumtaz died while giving birth to the 14th child. Then Shah Jahan married 8 other wives after her death mostly political marriages.

  4. Love this video, man! I really like that it shows what visiting the Taj Mahal is actually like. A lot of photos show it completely free of visitors but your video gives us a feel for the crowds there. I also like that you showed the bats and pigeons inside the front gate! Beautiful work, man.
